The San Diego History Center Presents: The History of Fairbanks Ranch.
Please join us on Friday, Oct. 15, 2021 @10am to 12pm for a presentation by the San Diego History Center (SDHC) on the history of Fairbanks Ranch.
Oct's speaker SDHC's CEO Bill Lawrence will reach deep into the History center's vast archive to uncover some of the little-known and surprising secrets of Rancho Santa Fe & Fairbanks Ranch.
There will be an opportunity drawing and one lucky winner will receive, "The San Diego History Center Experience" described as:

REFUGE FOR WOMEN SoCal
Refuge for Women is a non-profit, faith based organization providing specialized long-term care for women who have escaped human trafficking or sexual exploitation. With multiple locations across the U.S., Refuge for Women offers up to twelve months of safe housing, at no charge to the resident, with around the clock care as residents progress through evidence-based, trauma-informed programming. https://www.rfwsocal.org/
VISION OF CHILDREN
The Vision of Children Foundation (VOC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in San Diego. Over the past two decades, we have funded groundbreaking research around the world, and we have been a driving force in the quest to find a cure for genetically-caused eye disorders. The VOC will be hosting “A Night for Sight” featuring a very special concert – A.J. Croce performing “Croce Plays Croce” on Saturday, August 28 at Fairbanks Ranch Country Club. The fun evening will include a Reception with Silent Auction, Dinner, Live Auction, and Opportunity Drawing.

HEIDI HENDLER, LMFT
Heidi Hendler, LMFT has been joyfully practicing Sahaja Yoga meditation for over 17 years. Sahaja means “born with you” and Yoga means “union” so together, it means “bringing you closer to your inner self.” In her presentation, Heidi shared her joy, experience, and the benefits of this technique. She discussed her own introduction to Sahaja Yoga, explaining our body’s subtle energy system (chakras/ channels/ kundalini), the five elements, the simple steps into the “Golden silence”

With an array of local San Diego fundraising events and volunteer projects, we welcome you, the residents of Fairbanks Ranch neighborhood, to join our endeavors aimed at making the world a better place.

Heather is a freelance artist who lives in San Diego and serves clients throughout San Diego and Orange County. She specializes in bridal, branding, head shots and event makeup. Heather enjoys helping women feel as beautiful on the outside as they are on the inside. And she loves meeting and working with the amazing women who reside in Fairbanks Ranch.
Lori Fox of Fairbanks Living Magazine
Lori Fox has published "Fairbanks Living" Magazine since 2012 and loves the concept of helping build community while producing a family-friendly publication. Working with the residents in Fairbanks Ranch, she helps them produce the monthly publication, organize community events, and introduce trustworthy business partners to the community.
A twenty-six-year resident of North County with three sons in their twenties, Lori moved to the San Diego area after working for a number of years at the Orange County Register. A native of Danville, IL, Lori graduated with a degree in Journalism from Southern Illinois University and worked as an Account Executive for 15 years in the Cinema Advertising field.
Lori loves meeting the residents, as well as fielding questions and suggestions from the "Fairbanks Living" readers.
